Logan {1 Month}

I can't even believe it, but Logan is 1 Month old today!! Time goes by way too fast! He has been a pretty good baby. The only thing that hasn't been the best is his sleeping. I have been working really hard with him to get his days and nights switched back because he has been backwards on it. We have had a few good nights the past few days. I hope it continues!!

Big Sister

A few days after we came home from the hospital I had laid Logan on the couch and then left the room. A couple of minutes later I was trying to find Kaitlyn. I could not find her anywhere. I finally went back into the family room and this is what I found...
It just melted my heart to see. Kaitlyn was standing there showing Logan her Curious George book!! She is already trying to be the Big Sister!!

This is Kaitlyn helping feed Logan for the first time from a bottle! The minute she saw me come out with the bottle she ran right over and wanted to help.

Eeyore's on Vacation!!

And he sent Piglet to protect Kaitlyn!!!

As many people know, Kaitlyn has had and Eeyore stuffed animal that has been her comfort thing. She has had it since she was born! She loved to suck on his tail! After 2 years it was just starting to fall apart. So over the weekend Dave and I were at the store and decided it was time for her to give it up! We saw Piglet and decided to buy that for her to get her off of Eeyore.
The first night was a little rough when we put her to bed. She cried out a few times for him. So Dave decided to tell her that Eeyore went on vacation and sent Piglet to protect her! After that she went to sleep and slept through the night. I thought she was going to wake up a few times looking for him. So I was happy! The next few days she asked for him a few times, but today she has not even asked for him!! We were a little nervous that she might start sucking on Piglet's ears, but she has not so I think the transition was a success!!

Logan's 2 Week

We had Logan's 2 week appointment on Monday. These are his stats:

Height- 21 in

Weight- 6 lbs 14 oz

A few days before his appointment I was looking inside his mouth as he was crying and noticed something didn't look quite right. Then I realized his frenulum was attached to the front of his tongue so he could not move it very much. So I had the doctor look at it and I was right. He was tongue tied. We decided to have the doctor cut it for him. While he was trying to cut it he told us that he had not seen one so thick before. He said most of them are transparent so he did not dare cut very much! He didn't want to accidentally cut an artery. What he did seems to be working so far which is good because if not, then he is going to have to go to an oral surgeon!

Schroeder Christmas Party 2010

We had our annual Schroeder Family Christmas party at Bouncing off the Walls. It was super fun as usual. We decided to be brave and take Logan with us. He was only 2 weeks old, but I really wanted to get a picture of the kids with Santa and decided this would be the best place to do that.

It was so fun to watch Kaitlyn this year. She was hesitant for the first little bit so Dave went down the slide a few times with her to help her warm up. After that she would not get off!



She was definitely unsure of Santa!

After the party we asked Kaitlyn what she wanted from Santa for Christmas and she said, "Presents!!" I thought it was so funny! We kept saying well what do you want in those presents and she would just say presents!
