Valentine's 2012

We had an awesome Valentine's this year!! It is so fun to have my favorite Valentine's in the world to celebrate it with! Dave had to work on Valentine's night so he and I celebrated on the Friday before. Late in the evening that night he told me he had some errands to run and to not eat dinner.

A few hours later he came home with a stake dinner from Applebee's, a HUGE heart shaped box full of chocolates, a box of popcorn, a couple of new movies-Real Steal and Kung Fu Panda 2 both in 3D, and 2 pairs of 3D glasses for our new 3D TV we just bought.  It was a big surprise for me! It was so nice to be able to have a nice little date night at home.

This is the box of Chocolates!

On Valentine's Day morning we had pink pancakes for breakfast. This has become a tradition since we had kids. Then I gave the kids some treats from Daddy and Mommy.
Our happy little boy loving his Chips Ahoy cookies!

Kaitlyn  had preschool on Valentine's Day so of course they had a little party. This was her first year getting Valentine's from her friends.
She was so excited about all her treats she got!

When Dave got home from school I had this little surprise for him:
It was just a small little thing because he told me that for his Valentine's present and his birthday present he wanted a new tool chest, which I agreed to!

When he walked in the door he had these for me:
2 dozen roses and my favorite chocolates! It was an awesome Surprise!!

We all had such an amazing Valentine's Day and hope you all did too!

Logan {15 Months}

A few weeks ago I took Logan in for his 15 month check up. I can't even believe he is 15 months already! AHH! That means in less than 3 months he will be in nursery:( Crazy!

His stats are:

Height:  33.75" = Above

Weight: 25 Lbs = 60%

Head: 18.55"  = 50%

He is just SUPER tall and skinny!!

Some fun things about my little man-

*He is getting into EVERYTHING!! This fun stage just started a couple of months ago.
*He plays with everything...but his toys!! Why even bother buying him new ones:)
*He jabbers a lot. He loves to talk. The only word he says is Hi and that is every now and again.
*He loves to give "loves" which is putting his head against  yours
*He just started giving kisses on the lips today! He did it 5 times in a row to me:) I am one happy Mama!!
*He loves to figure out how things work. He just stares at ever little thing. He is definitely going to be mechanically minded like his daddy.
*He loves bananas, yogurt, oatmeal, mac and cheese, quesidillas, and hot dogs
*He is not a fan of chicken or peas
*He loves trying to sit in a big chair at the big table to eat dinner with us. I think we might have to switch over to a booster seat instead of the high chair!
*He love to watch Curious George
*He LOVES, LOVES his big sister. He followers her around anywhere she goes. He definitely knows who she is:)
*He loves bath time
*He is napping about 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours
*He sleeps through the night...he will wake up every once in awhile during the night
*He is smiling and laughing all the time
*He is starting to fight back just a little bit when his sister bully's him.

We love him so much and can't get enough of our little man!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of him:
Dave bought a printer and it came in this reusable bag so he put Logan in it!! Logan loved it!
Coloring on the paper and Aunt Lisa's Surprise Birthday Party!
Good Morning:)

Kaitlyn {learning to ride a bike}

For Christmas this past year, Santa brought Kaitlyn a big girl bike. She has been dying to get out and learn how to ride it. A couple of weekends ago Dave took her out and taught her how to ride it. She still needs a little more practice, but she is getting there. I think the biggest thing for her is just pedaling and try to steer the direction she needs to go at the same time is a little hard for her. She will get it though!! Here are a few pictures from that day:
Teaching her about the bike and how it has brakes on the pedals.
Helping her up onto the bike.

So happy to be out learning with Daddy!

This was towards the end as she was starting to get the hang of it. {I love this picture of them!!}

Here is a little video clip of her riding:

We are so proud of the hard work she gave it on her first time out!! Hopefully after a few more times out she will get a better feel for it to be able to do it without Daddy next to her!

Best Buds

Kaitlyn and Logan have become best buds. Logan loves to follow Kaitlyn around and do everything she is doing. Its so cute to watch them. A couple of nights last week after I got them in their pj's I let them have some down time and watch a show together before bed. Here they are on 2 different nights cuddling together:

I love them so much!! They are so cute!

Sleepy Boy

A few weeks ago during lunch time I left the kitchen for a minute and came back to this:
Apparently lunch wore him right out!! Oh, he is so cute though:)

Enjoying the Sun

Last Friday was such a spring like day. It was almost 50 degrees and the sun was shining. Of course we had to take advantage of this before we have more cold days so the kids and I went outside with my Dad. The kids and I played ball, Kaitlyn rode her scooter, Logan learned to push her tricycle around. It was so nice to be out. Here are a few pictures of the fun we had:

I love my kids and I can't wait until spring is actually here so we can go outside more!!!

Field Trip to Dinosaur Museum

Last week, Kaitlyn had a field trip to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point. I was able to go with her. We have never been before. It was so much fun. There was so much to look at and there was a lot of interactive things for the kids. She had so much fun with her friend from her preschool class. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

The first few pictures are from a room called Notion of Motion. It is very interactive for the kids. They had a blast in this room!
Here they are spinning drums to see images in the little holes.

This is where balls go back and forth and different speeds and patterns after you lift the wood board.

The cute girls trying so hard to pedal to make the lights go on.
The vibrating board.

Watching the the guy working on a fossil

Playing in the sand

Cute girls on the Dino
AHHHH!!! Watch out:)

A few girls in Kaitlyn's class digging for Fossils.

Kaitlyn had so much fun digging for the fossils and looking at all the bones they found!

Sleeping Princess

A couple of weeks ago Dave and I let Kaitlyn lay in our bed and watch a movie before bedtime. After awhile Dave went in and checked on her and told me that I needed to come see her. This is what I saw:

Isn't she just so cute sleeping with her arms folded?!? She is our little princess and we love her so much!

My 2 Sick Boys

Last week Dave had 5 days off in a row!!! That rarely happens, but when it does we welcome every minute of it:) It is so nice to have him home with us. The only bad part about his time off....him and Logan got sick:( Needless to say...we didn't get much time with Daddy.

Logan started teething again. I hate when this happens. This time around was really bad. He didn't eat anything. All he wanted was milk. He kept moaning and crying and he was SO cuddly. He is totally NOT a cuddle bug so I welcomed every second that he wanted to cuddle. One morning when I got him out of his crib I got him a bottle and laid him on the couch watching Blue's Clues. He didn't move for about 15 mins. Poor Baby:( Here is a picture of him on the couch:

Dave got a horrible cold. The upside to this was that it happened on his days off so he didn't have to call in sick and miss work! He was down for 4 days.
One of the days I was having a hard time trying to cuddle with Logan and get things done that I needed to so I asked Dave if Logan could lay by him for a little while. He was fine with it. I went in a little while later to check on them to make sure they were doing ok and this is what I found:
Both of them passed out in our bed!! So CUTE!!! I love my boys so much!!!
